OUTREACH DETENTION
This program provides Outreach workers to meet with youths at home, school, work and in the community for up to six days a week to ensure compliance with court orders.  They also work with the youth and their families in an effort to prevent the youth from having additional court involvement.  Most all of the youth ordered by the Court to participate with the Outreach program have offenses for which they could have been placed in secure detention.

INTENSIVE SUPERVISION

This program offers the same basic services as the Outreach Detention program, but is designed to work with youth returning home from State care or other special placements.

ELECTRONIC MONITORING

This program monitors youths ordered by the Court to home confinement through the use of an electronic device attached to the youth's ankle.  Staff monitor the youth's activity daily.

WEEKENDERS PROGRAM

This program is designed to supervise youths ordered by the Court to complete a certain number of days/hours of community service in lieu of placement in secure detention.  DAP staff arrange the community service activities, transport the youth to and from the community service site and supervise the youth during the activity.

COMMUNITY SERVICE

This program is similar to the Weekenders program, but the youth who are ordered by the Court to complete community service hours are responsible for completing the hours on their own.  DAP staff arrange a community service site for the youth, monitor the youth's progress through regular contact with the site and report any problems or completions to the Court.

SHOPLIFTERS ALTERNATIVES

DAP offers the Y.E.S. (Youth Educational Shoplifting) Program to youth who have been charged with a shoplifting offense.  This self-administered test is completed by the youth and then scored by DAP staff.  The program's Psychological Profile Analysis and Risk Assessment are designed to identify youth who are at risk of committing further shoplifting offenses.

DRUG SCREENS

DAP makes funding available to the Court Service Units to cover the costs of drug urinalysis for Court involved youths in order to determine substance use/abuse.  The Courts use this information to order the youth into appropriate services based on their needs.
