To obtain a VISITATION PASS, as well as written visitation policies, click here.  Please note, this form must be signed by a Court official and must be presented at the time of visitation.  NO PERSON WILL BE ADMITTED WITHOUT THIS FORM.

Visitation with detained children is available for parents, grandparents, and legal guardians ONLY.  Only ONE PERSON per detainee may visit during any time period.

PLEASE NOTE:  Visitation is afforded in 30-minute blocks.  You cannot be present and visiting with your child for the entire one-hour session.  If you arrive at 8:30 PM, your visitation will end at 9:00 PM.  If you arrive at 9:00 PM, your visitation will end at 9:30 PM.  Visitation sessions begin promptly on the half-hours (8:30 PM, 9:00 PM, etc.).  If you arrive at 8:40 PM, you may have the option to visit with your child for the remainder of that session (at the discretion of facility staff) or wait until the next session so that you may enjoy the full allocated time period with your son or daughter.

You MUST bring a court-signed permission notice of visitation before you will be permitted to visit your child.

Firearms, alcoholic beverages, and tobacco products are strictly prohibited on HJDC property.

PHYSICAL CONTACT BETWEEN PARENTS AND CHILDREN IS STRICTLY PROHIBITED.  This policy is to prevent the exchange of items which can be considered contraband, for which your child could face additional charges if certain items are found is his or her possession.

The HJDC Staff has the option of refusing admittance to any parent who appears intoxicated or under the influence of illegal substances.

DO NOT bring purses, bags, knapsacks, or other containers into the facility at visitation unless you have been granted prior express permission to do so for a legitimate reason.  DO NOT bring clothing to exchange for your child unless you have contacted HJDC beforehand to ascertain that this is acceptable (clothing can only be exchanged on an item-per-item basis).

FOR PROFESSIONALS VISITING DETAINED CLIENTS: Visitation can be accommodated at most any time of the day except for during meals (11:20 - 12:00 and 4:10 - 4:50). Please call the main number ahead of time to arrange a visit.
