Reading Materials

Any reading materials brought or mailed to the facility are considered donations and become the property of the Highlands Juvenile Detention Center. All reading materials must be approved by our education program before they will be made accessible to the residents. Any reading materials deemed inappropriate for our population will be removed from the facility and disposed of. Residents will not be permitted to leave with any reading materials donated to the Center upon their release.
 

Food

The HJDC does not accept donations or gifts of food or other consumable items for the residents from parents, guardians, family members, or any private individuals.
